| The UVA Club of the Triangle Board of Directors | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The UVA Club of the Triangle greatly values its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is limited to twelve individuals and is asked to advise and direct the Club on major business and financial decisions. The UVA Club of the Triangle also relies on the Board to ensure that the Officers are engaging in effective leadership, supporting the objectives of the club, and the needs of the membership. The Board plays a critical role for The UVA Club of the Triangle by determining the Officers through elections held every July, with a quorum of 9 required. All current officers are asked to sit on the Board for the duration of their service. The outgoing UVA Club of the Triangle President is asked to be a member of our Board for at least one year after his/her service has ended, with the possibility for extension of that term by vote as a Director-at-Large. All other Board members are chosen by majority vote from interested volunteers for a three year term. New Board members are nominated by Officers and are elected in July by the current Board of Directors. The current Board of Directors are:
